FUTURELAND is an experimental documentary produced by MA students at the Centre for Research Architecture 17/18. It emerged as a group project out of fieldwork conducted in the Port of Rotterdam, Europe’s largest cargo and container port, through individual research and collaborative writing that delved into the politics of our contemporary logistical condition. It is part of the Logistical Nightmares programme, that explores logistics as a model for organising social life and politics at a global scale. Hosted by Lorenzo Pezzani and Susan Schuppli, the programme featured guests such as Charmaine Chua, Stephan Helmreich, Giorgio Grappi, Heather Anne Paxson and Victor Sanz.
