I am very happy to have my Rowan Tree recording included on Murmuration #3, a compilation of field recordings and compositions from the 3rd Murmuration trip in Glenshee, Scotland - June 2022, curated by Jez riley French, assisted by Pheobe Riley Law. The compilation has some incredible pieces on there, so I am humbled to sit amongst them. Please consider purchasing this as all proceeds go to charity.
The recording was made using a Zoom H5 recorder with poor internal insulation and my JrF contact mics. I also recorded using FEL clippy mics, but this is on a separate recording. Rowan tree hidden that had grown and shaped itself with steel cable fencing and stone wall, I listened to this over three sessions - afternoon, evening and at dawn during the last 24 hours on-site. A larger collection of work on the tree will follow this year.
